How It Works

The underlying blockchain-based foundation of our product guarantees the immutability of records and full traceability of data stored within the system. Our technology can detect even the slightest change of a single pixel in the event of data manipulation or misinterpretation by bad actors. The product implementation enables the user to verify the integrity of the image metadata, the applied processing steps, and image analysis outcomes.

Achievements

3IPK was the first company ever to be awarded a blockchain technology contract by the European Space Agency, to deliver a traceability solution for space applications. Our technology has been later adopted by other top-tier space organizations, including Thales Alenia Space, who manufactures satellites for programs such as Galileo and Copernicus.

Panoptes on the ISS

In 2024, 3IPK became the world’s first operator of a blockchain network on the International Space Station. As participants in the IMAGIN-E mission we have developed a state-of-the-art technology to securely synchronize blockchain nodes in orbit and on Earth. Recording Earth Observation data on the blockchain directly as it originates at the sensor represents a big step forward in safeguarding the veracity of Earth Observation data and its end-to-end traceability.
